The Tongtai TMV 510G compact high-speed graphite machining center is engineered for efficient production of electrodes and similar products. The machine is a fixed column/moving table type design, with X, Y and Z travels of 20″ x 14.2″ x 11.8″ (500 mm x 355 mm x 295 mm) respectively.
A 5 hp, 20,000 rpm spindle motor is standard and maximum feed rate is1,890 ipm (48 m/in). The standard 20-station high-speed arm type automatic tool changer executes tool changes in 0.8 seconds and achieves 1.9 seconds chip to chip. The arm type automatic tool changes keeps tools away from contamination and out of the work zone.
Standard features include a spindle cooler, a full machine enclosure with lid, a Donaldson dust collector with piping, and rigid tapping capability. Among options are X-Y-Z axis linear scales, a Siemens 840D simultaneous control, a Lehman high precision tilt/rotary table, part probes and high pressure through-spindle coolant capability.
